Functional training may be the order of the day because injury prevention is on the rise. Look at super athletes like Lebron James or Dwayne Wade that are experiencing injuries during the NBA playoffs and the countless other injured players on the counter and on the injured reserve rosters.

Injury prevention appears to be addressing the rate at which beginners, novice, fitness enthusiasts and our professional athletes are getting hurt participating in their activity or sport but I am not convinced it's in the right direction though. Fitness professionals are realizing this increase in the injury profile when assessing potential clients.Functional Training

Nowadays, the doctor has to request a medical waiver and signed consent forms in order to consider training relationships because it appears as though everyone is nursing a personal injury that can get worse. The public in particular has said on the injury profile in health clinics and physical therapy centers around New york and country wide and notice we are more technologically advanced but more injury prone. Why is that?

Currently, health clubs are filling their floors with resistance equipment because owners want the members to see all of the equipment and join their facility because they have may pieces. Nonetheless, ebay model needs to change because this environment does not promote open space. Since the gym does not have an indoor or outdoor track, they put us on the treadmill machine, cross trainer or stick us in a studio room.
